Nori (海苔) is the Japanese name for edible seaweed, made by a shredding and rack-drying process that resembles papermaking. Nori is most commonly used to wrap sushi and onigiri rice balls or cut in thin strips and used as garnish. Quite a few pet stores also recommend using this nutritious product to feed to your pet fish! Dried nori will keep very well over long periods of time, providing it is stored wrapped, air tight, and in a cool, dry place.

Nori is about 1/3 protein and 1/3 dietary fiber.
